San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Nelson Cruz had a monster day at the plate on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a homer and six RBI as the Padres routed the Braves 10-2. Cruz clobbered a 432-foot (108.8 mph EV) three-run homer off of left-hander Dylan Dodd in the third inning that extended the Padres’ advantage to 4-0. He added on a run-scoring double off of Dodd in the fifth inning that made it a 6-0 ballgame, then capped off the Padres’ scoring in the contest with a two-run single in the sixth. The 42-year-old is only playing against southpaws, but is proving that he still has something left in the tank — slashing .350/.381/.750 with a pair of homers and nine RBI on the young season.
New York Mets DFS SPIN
Starling Marte left Sunday’s game against the Marlins with a neck strain after hitting his head while sliding into third base. Marte reached base with a double and attempted to steal third base in the first inning, but his head collided with Jean Segura’s knee. The team has announced that the 34-year-old is considered day-to-day, and we should learn more after today’s game. Stay tuned.
