San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Trent Grisham homered for the second consecutive game as the Padres fell to the Mets in Game 2 of the Wild Card series on Saturday. After improbably taking Max Scherzer deep in Game 1, Grisham tagged Jacob deGrom for a 400-foot solo shot in the third inning on Saturday. He also drew a walk off of deGrom and scored on an RBI single by Jurickson Profar in the fifth inning. He was also plunked and came around to score as Manny Machado drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth. He’ll see if he can keep his home run streak alive in a critical Game 3 on Sunday.
New York Mets DFS SPIN
Pete Alonso clubbed a go-ahead solo homer in the fifth inning on Saturday, powering the Mets to a 7-3 victory over the Padres in Game 2 of their Wild Card series. Alonso clobbered the first pitch that Nick Martinez threw in the fifth inning for a 402-foot solo shot that gave the Mets a lead they’d never relinquish. He also drew a walk in the seventh inning and scored on Jeff McNeil’s two-run double. The 27-year-old slugger finished the night 1-for-2 with a pair of free passes and two runs scored.
