San Diego Padres DFS SPIN
Trent Grisham finished 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Wednesday in the loss to the Phillies. With Grisham hitting .151/.263/.252, it seems like time for the Padres to think about making a change in center field, though they’re short on alternatives. Maybe C.J. Abrams will become an option later, but he isn’t right now. Nomar Mazara is hitting really well in Triple-A, but he can’t play center and it’s not like the Padres can use either Jurickson Profar or Wil Myers there. Barring an acquisition, they’d seem to be stuck for now.
Philadelphia Phillies DFS Spin
Rhys Hoskins homered, walked and scored twice as the Phillies’ leadoff hitter Wednesday against the Padres. Hoskins isn’t walking as much as he used to, and his .231/.311/.455 line doesn’t scream leadoff man. Still, he’s done well in five games in that spot, going 6-for-20 with two homers and five runs scored. Also, while leading off is probably not the absolute best thing for his fantasy value, it sure beats hitting sixth or seventh.
Padres vs. Phillies MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The over is 5-2 in the Padres’ last seven games overall, are 10-3 in their last 13 road games and is 14-4 in their last 18 road games versus an opponent with a losing record. On the other side, the over is 8-3 in the Phillies’ last 10 games as a favorite, is 6-3 in their last nine games as a home favorite and is 8-2-1 in their last 11 games versus National League West opponents.
