Phillies re-sign Jimmy Rollins
PHILADELPHIA, PA (AP) – The Phillies will have a familiar face back at shortstop next season.
Two people familiar with the negotiations tell The Associated Press that Jimmy Rollins has agreed to a 3-year, $33 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies. The deal includes a vesting option for a fourth year.

The people spoke on condition of anonymity Saturday because the agreement is not official.
Rollins is a three-time All-Star shortstop and the 2007 NL MVP. He has spent his entire career with the Philllies and was a free agent for the first time.
