Philadelphia Phillies DFS Notes
Aaron Nola surrendered six runs over six innings on Thursday in a win over the Pirates. This was a weird one, folks. Nola gave up six hits, including a pair of home runs, but managed to pick up a victory after the Phillies stormed back with 12 unanswered runs after the third inning. He recorded eight strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. The 28-year-old righty will carry a bloated 4.64 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 219/37 K/BB ratio across 174 2/3 innings (31 starts) into a road tilt against the Braves on Wednesday night in his final regular season outing.
Atlanta Braves DFS Notes
Max Fried tossed a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts and three hits allowed in a 4-0 win over the Padres on Friday. After tossing seven shutout innings in his last outing, Fried followed that up with another brilliant performance. He completed his second Maddux of the season — complete game shutout under 100 pitches. Fried scattered three hits and generated a whopping 16 groundouts while throwing 66-of-98 pitches for strikes. The 27-year-old right-hander earned his 13th win of the season and lowered his ERA to 3.12 over 158 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Phillies in Atlanta for his final start of the regular season next week.
Phillies vs. Braves MLB Betting Prediction
The Phillies are just 3-8 in their last 11 games versus the Braves at Truist Park and are now 0-5 in their last five games as an underdog. The Braves, meanwhile, have won four straight games, are 6-1 in their last seven games following a win and are a perfect 8-0 in their last eight games versus a right-handed starter.
