Alec Bohm delivered a sacrifice fly that broke a scoreless tie in the ninth inning on Saturday as the Phillies eked out a one-run victory over the Cardinals. The Phillies finally broke free in the ninth inning as Darick Hall led off with a double, then pinch-runner Mickey Moniak advanced to third on a bunt single by Didi Gregorius. Bohm then cashed him in with a deep fly ball to right field, providing the only run for either side in the game. He finished the day 1-for-2 and is now hitting .271/.306/.385 with six homers and 33 RBI on the season.

Paul Goldschmidt went 0-for-4, but did manage to steal a base in Saturday’s loss to the Phillies. Goldschmidt reached on an error in the ninth inning that advanced the potential tying run to third base with zero outs. He then swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but was ultimately stranded there. He’s enjoying a phenomenal season at the dish, slashing .340/.423/.610 with 19 homers, 65 RBI and five stolen bases.
