Phillies vs. Cardinals Prediction
The Phillies took two of three from the Cardinals last weekend in Philly but with the venue switching to Busch Stadium this weekend, will St. Louis come out on top? The Cards are an underdog tonight with Adam Wainwright on the hill.

Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN
Darick Hall went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Thursday in a 4-2 win over the Nationals. If anyone was doubting Hall’s power, it’s getting a lot more difficult to do so. The homer is the fourth in eight games, and he’s slugging .742 with a .290 average in 31 at-bats. It’s understandable to be skeptical because of his lack of pedigree, but those who need help in the power category should give Hall serious consideration.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Dylan Carlson went 3-for-3 and singled in the go-ahead run in the 11th as the Cardinals defeated the Braves 3-2 on Thursday. While Phil Gosselin should have gloved Carlson’s liner to second in the 11th, it was a well-hit ball for the outfielder. Carlson didn’t start tonight after going 3-for-22 with 10 strikeouts in the first six games of the month, but he pinch-hit for Lars Nootbaar in the seventh and went on to double his July hit total. He’s at .257/.320/.413 for the season.
Phillies vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
There’s some value in the Cardinals as a home dog but 1) they’ve struggled of late and 2) they’ll face an excellent pitcher in Zack Wheeler tonight. Thus, I see more value in the under, which is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams and is 4-1 in the last five meetings in St. Louis. The under is also 4-1 in the Phillies’ last five games versus a right-handed starter, is 8-3 in their last 11 games after scoring five runs or more in their previous contest and is 7-3-1 in their last 11 games versus NL Central opponents. On the other side, the under is 5-0 in the Cardinals’ last five games overall and is 5-0 in their last five games versus the NL East.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: PHILLIES/CARDINALS UNDER 7.5
