Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN
Zach Eflin allowed just two runs in six strong innings to pick up a win Saturday against the Padres. Eflin was making his first start since being scratched from Thursday’s start against the Marlins because of illness. It didn’t begin well, as he allowed a two-run homer in the first to Manny Machado, but he was excellent from that point on, and didn’t give up a run for the rest of the outing. Eflin has been frustrating in 2021, but results are like this are always possible. Just keep in mind the poor outings are going to happen more often than you’d like, too. Eflin will look to build on this outing Thursday against the Cubs.
Chicago Cubs DFS Spin
Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple Wednesday as the Cubs beat the Phillies 8-3 to snap an 11-game losing streak. Rizzo’s triple was his third of the year. He struggled during the losing streak, going 5-for-27 with 14 strikeouts and also missing a few days with a sore back, but he’s been the Cubs’ steadiest hitter overall, batting .250/.343/.439 with 10 homers in 306 plate appearances.
