Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN
Kyle Gibson yielded two runs in 5 2/3 innings Monday in a win over the Rockies. Gibson gave up homers to Connor Joe and Randal Grichuk, but he allowed just one other hit in winning for the second time this year. He has a 3.47 ERA and a 23/7 K/BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings after four starts. Still, one imagines the poor defense behind him will start to take more of a toll against better opponents.
New York Mets DFS Spin
Tylor Megill pitched five innings and combined with four relievers to no-hit the Phillies in a 3-0 victory Friday. Drew Smith, Joely Rodriguez, Seth Lugo and Edwin Diaz finished up. Megill walked three and thus needed 88 pitches to get through his five innings. In all, Mets pitchers struck out 12 and walked six in the contest. Megill improved to 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA, and as much as his stuff has improved, he has the ability to remain one of the NL’s better pitchers this year.
