Rotoworld on Eflin’s last start: Eflin allowed three earned runs over six innings Wednesday as the Phillies fell to the Mariners. He left with the game tied at 3-3, but Joaquin Benoit promptly served up five runs to the Mariners in the top of the seventh inning. Eflin gave up nine hits and one walk while striking out five. He’s still sitting on an ERA in the 2.00s (2.81), but we’d expect that to change in his next start on the road against the Rangers.
Cashner gave up just one run over six innings in a no-decision against the Athletics on Friday. The only run scored on a Matt Joyce homer in the fifth. Cashner struck out a pair and walked one and now holds a 2.43 ERA through six starts overall. However, with 20 walks and 17 strikeouts in 33 1/3 innings, he’s standing on shaky ground.

On the other side, the Rangers have won seven in a row, including six in a row at home. They’re also 5-0 in their last five interleague home games, are 5-1 in their last six interleague games versus a right-handed starter, and 4-0 in their last four interleague home games when facing a righty.
