Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN
Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports Bryce Harper (elbow) is preparing to play first base this season. First base isn’t that hard. Tell ’em, Wash. Harper’s decision doesn’t impact his potential return timeline from Tommy John surgery, but it might expedite his return to playing the field at some point this season. The Phillies find themselves with a massive hole at the cold corner in the wake of injuries to Rhys Hoskins and Darick Hall. The 30-year-old fantasy superstar has already resumed hitting and is targeting a late-May or early-June return to Philadelphia’s lineup as a designated hitter.
Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
TJ Friedl went 3-for-4 with a run scored Wednesday in the Reds’ 5-4 loss to the Braves. Friedl singled in the first and second inning, but it wasn’t until the single in the seventh that he added more counting category goodness to the mix. The 27-year-old is hitting an impressive .350/.395/.600 with two homers to start the season. The Reds are also batting him second against right-handers, so fantasy managers should expect plenty of RBIs going forward.
