Pittsburgh Pirates DFS SPIN
Ji Hwan Bae stunned the Astros on Tuesday night, crushing a three-run walk-off home run to deliver a 7-4 victory for the Pirates. The Pirates entered the ninth inning with a 4-2 lead, but Chas McCormick smacked a two-run double to tie the game in the top half of the inning. The Pirates fought right back against Ryan Pressly though, as Rodolfo Castro and Andrew McCutchen singled, setting the stage for Bae’s 403-foot (104.2 mph EV) game-winning bomb. The 23-year-old finished the night 1-for-5 and is now hitting .242/.265/.485 with a pair of homers, six RBI and two swipes on the season.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Nolan Gorman slugged a go-ahead two-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Cardinals to a 7-4 victory over the Rockies. Gorman homered for the second consecutive contest, taking righty reliever Justin Lawrence deep to left field for his fourth round-tripper of the season. The 22-year-old former top prospect struggled at the highest level last year, but has gotten off to an extremely promising start this season, batting .313 (10-for-32) with four homers and eight RBI through 10 games. More importantly, he has just eight strikeouts and seven walks in 39 plate appearances.
