Jose Martinez finished 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs. Matt Adams ended the game 2-for-4 plus a walk. Marcell Ozuna was 1-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Francisco Pena was 1-for-4 and scored two runs. Tyler O’Neill was 1-for-1 with a 3-run homer plus a walk off the bench. Miles Mikolas earned the win as he allowed one earned run on five hits with seven strikeouts and one walk over seven innings.

Josh Bell went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in yesterday’s loss at St. Louis. Corey Dickerson finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Joe Musgrove took the loss as he gave up four earned runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over six innings.
Jameson Taillon (12-9, 3.40 ERA) draws the start today for the Pirates, while the Cardinals are going with Daniel Poncedeleon (0-1, 2.67).
