Texas Rangers DFS SPIN
Brad Miller went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored as the Rangers topped the Dodgers 8-4 on Sunday. Presumably as some sort of reward for his two-inning mop-up appearance in Saturday’s 16-3 loss, Miller started today for the first time since May 9. Now, he did spend four weeks on the IL last month, but even so, that’s about six weeks on the active roster in which he had a total of seven plate appearances. Nevertheless, he came through nicely today. Maybe he’ll get more DH time at Mitch Garver’s expense while Corey Seager is out.
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Mauricio Dubón swatted a go-ahead solo home run in the ninth inning on Sunday, propelling the Astros to a 3-2 victory over the Athletics. The 29-year-old infielder tagged right-hander Chad Smith for his two-out 404-foot solo shot in the ninth inning, putting the Astros ahead to stay. It was his only hit in five at-bats in the ballgame. On the season, Dubón is now hitting .269/.293/.382 with five homers and 27 RBI on the year. Once again, he’ll be shifted back to a utility role once Jose Altuve (oblique) is ready to return from the injured list.

Rangers vs. Astros MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Jon Gray has pitched fairly well of late and fairly well versus the Astros in his career, but he doesn’t have much to show for his efforts from a win-loss standpoint. He’s 1-3 with a 3.94 ERA in six career starts against the Astros and is winless over his last seven starts overall, posting a 0-4 record with a 4.66 ERA during that span. Meanwhile, Brandon Bielak will start for the Astros and he’s 2-1 with a 1.02 ERA in three starts since returning from Triple-A Sugar Land on July 3. Give me Houston in this series opener.
