Texas Rangers DFS SPIN
Bubba Thompson had two hits, including a double, and two steals Sunday against the Blue Jays. Thompson looked a little overmatched in his first week in the majors, but he’s up to .298/.348/.365 now, and he’s swiped 13 bases in 14 attempts. If he keeps this up and goes into 2023 with a pretty good chance of being a regular, he’s going to turn into an awfully high draft pick in fantasy leagues.
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Avisaíl Garcia (hamstring) sat out Sunday’s series finale against the Mets after exiting Saturday’s game due to tightness in his hamstring. The Marlins still haven’t given official word on the severity of the injury, though the fact that he wasn’t placed on the injured list prior to Sunday’s game is at least some indication that they don’t believe it’s too serious. Fantasy managers should be sure to check his status Monday’s doubleheader against the Rangers.
Rangers vs. Marlins MLB Betting Trends
The under is 7-1 in the Rangers’ last 8 games
The Rangers are 10-3 ATS on the road in their last 13 games
The Marlins are 1-12 ATS as home favorites in their last 13 games
Rangers vs. Marlins MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Marlins have dropped 11 of their last 13 games overall, which includes a 1-6 mark at home. Of course, the Rangers haven’t been very good either, as they’ve dropped 12 of their last 14 games and six of seven on the road. I’m going to avoid the side and take a look at the total. The under is 8-0 in the Rangers’ last eight games when their opponent scored three or fewer runs in their last contest (the Marlins scored three runs on Sunday) and is 8-1 in their last nine games when they allowed three or fewer runs in their last game (Texas allowed one run in a win over Toronto on Sunday). The under is also 9-1 in the Marlins’ last 10 games when their opponent has 60 or fewer wins, which applies to the Rangers, who have exactly 60 victories entering play on Monday.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: RANGERS/MARLINS UNDER 7
