Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Jose Siri slugged a solo homer for the Rays’ only offense in their loss to the Guardians on Friday. Siri briefly gave the Rays the lead in the top of the sixth before José Ramírez gave the Guardians the lead for good with a two-run homer in the bottom of the frame. The Rays managed just three hits in all and struck out nine times. Shane McClanahan did everything Kevin Cash could have hoped for in this one, but the Rays’ offense has been a question mark all year. Now it’s up to Tyler Glasnow to keep them alive on Saturday.
Cleveland Guardians DFS SPIN
José Ramírez went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead two-run homer and a single as the Guardians took the first game of their Wild Card series against the Rays on Friday. The Rays took the lead in the top of the sixth on a solo homer from Jose Siri, but Ramirez answered immediately by taking Shane McClanahan deep in the bottom of the frame to give the Guardians the lead. It was obviously a huge hit, but it was also a rare one, as hitters batted just .143 with one home run against McClanahan’s changeup this season. Shane Bieber and Emmanuel Clase were able to make that slim one-run margin hold up for a 2-1 victory. The Guardians will look toward Triston McKenzie to eliminate the Rays on Saturday.
