Rays vs. Orioles Prediction
The Rays will send Aaron Civale to the mound for Thursday night’s series opener against the Orioles. The Orioles will counter with right hander Kyle Bradish. With the Orioles listed as a home favorite and the total sitting at 8.5 runs, what is the best bet tonight in Baltimore?

Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Yandy Diaz led the way for the Rays in Wednesday’s 5-4 over the Minnesota Twins. Diaz finished the game 2-5 with a pair of RBIs. Diaz improved his batting average to .324 for this season, which ranks second in the American League only behind shortstop Corey Seagar. The Rays will need production throughout the lineup as they look to chase down the AL East leading Orioles in this series.
Baltimore Orioles DFS SPIN
Gunnar Henderson went 1-4 in Baltimore’s 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night. Henderson has now recorded a hit in six consecutive games and has improved his average to .259 on the season. Baltimore first baseman Ryan Mountcastle exited the game in the third inning on with shoulder discomfort. O’s manager Brandon Hyde described him as “day-to-day”. Mountcastle has been great for Baltimore since returning for the IL in July. In 50 games, he has recorded a .328 average.
Rays vs. Orioles MLB Betting Trends
Tampa Bay is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games.
Baltimore is 6-3 SU against Tampa this season.
Both teams are 7-3 SU over their last 10 games.
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of the 9 games this year.
Rays vs. Orioles MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Orioles enter Thursday’s series with a two-game lead over the Rays in the AL East and their magic number to clinch a playoff spot is four. The Orioles who are looking to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 suffered a minor setback against the Cardinals dropping 2 of 3 at home.
Let’s turn to the starting pitching matchup in this one, as Aaron Civale for the Rays opposes Kyle Bradish for the Orioles. While Civale has been competitive in nearly every outing for the Guardians and now Rays, not allowing more than four earned runs in a start since April, in my opinion Baltimore has the edge here. Kyle Bradish has been great for the Orioles this season, especially as of late posting a 5-0 with a 2.38 ERA, 0.96 WHIP since the start of August.
Even if Ryan Mountcastle isn’t the lineup in game one which I don’t think he will be, I fully expect Baltimore to regain their focus here, and win game one of what lines up to be one of the most anticipated series for Baltimore fans in recent years. Orioles are the play at a decent price.
MLB BETTING PREDICTION: Orioles -135
