Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays plan to activate Nelson Cruz (COVID-19) prior to Tuesday’s game versus the Phillies. Cruz was placed on the COVID-19 IL Sunday, but he has tested negative and been cleared to rejoin the club. The corresponding move for Cruz will be Ji-Man Choi (hamstring) going on the IL. Topkin says that Cruz could make his first career start at first base Tuesday in the road interleague series.
Philadelphia Phillies DFS Spin
Rhys Hoskins went 2-for-3 with two homers and a walk against the Padres on Sunday. Hoskins made his return to the lineup after missing time with a groin issue that kept him out since August 5. He put the Phillies on the board with a solo homer off of Ryan Weathers to lead off the fourth inning and added a second blast off of Miguel Diaz in the fifth. The multi-homer day gives Hoskins 26 on the year with a .247/.336/.526 triple slash and 70 RBI over 438 plate appearances.
