Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Rays manager Kevin Cash indicated that Randy Arozarena (COVID-19) could rejoin the Rays as soon as Tuesday. Arozarena missed the weekend series against the Orioles after landing on the COVID-19 injured list for a close contact. The outfielder himself has not exhibited any symptoms and has taken several negative tests. It sounds like he should be ready to go following the team’s off-day on Monday.
Boston Red Sox DFS Spin
J.D. Martinez went 4-for-5 with three RBI on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough as the Red Sox fell to the Blue Jays. Martinez sat out Saturday’s game due to a non-COVID related illness, but made quite an impact in his return. The 33-year-old designated hitter ripped an RBI double off lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu in the second inning, and also drilled a two-run single off righty reliever Patrick Murphy with two outs in the fourth inning. He’s put together a phenomenal bounce-back campaign, slashing 290/.355/.533 with 71 runs scored, 21 homers and 71 RBI across 454 plate appearances.
Rays vs. Red Sox Betting Prediction
The Rays have won 13 of their last 17 games in Boston and are 5-0 in their last five games versus the Red Sox overall. They’re also 21-8 in their last 29 games overall, are 41-13 in their last 54 games following a win and are 4-1 in their last five games following an off day. On the other side, the Red Sox are just 2-9 in their last 11 games overall, are 2-6 in their last eight games coming off a loss and are 0-5 in their last five games after allowing five runs or more in their previous contest.
