Tampa Bay Rays DFS Notes
Rays placed OF Randy Arozarena on the paternity leave list. Arozarena returned home to be with his wife for the birth of their daughter and will be gone until at least Saturday. He’s picked it up in a big way since the All-Star break, slashing .329/.405/.611 with nine home runs, 21 RBI, two stolen bases, and 34 runs scored in 40 games. Josh Lowe has been promoted from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move to provide outfield depth.
Detroit Tigers DFS Notes
Robbie Grossman went 4-for-5 with a homer and three runs scored to help lead the Tigers past the Pirates 5-1 on Wednesday. Grossman’s 22 homers in 136 games this year are three more than he had in 318 games from 2018-20. It’s double his career high of 11 from 2016. Of course, he has gotten more playing time than ever before, which helps a bunch. His current .432 slugging percentage, while quite solid, is 50 points less than his mark in 51 games last year and also a bit shy of where he finished in 2016.
