Tampa Bay Rays DFS Notes
Wander Franco went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs scored on Sunday, leading the Rays to a three-game sweep of the Marlins with a 3-2 victory in the series finale at Tropicana Field. Franco wasted no time, extending his on-base streak to 41 consecutive games, with a one-out double against lefty Jesús Luzardo in the opening frame. He also smacked a two-out triple in the fifth inning off righty reliever Zach Pop, just for good measure. The 20-year-old rookie sensation owns a sublime .287/.350/.476 triple-slash line with 51 runs scored, seven home runs, 36 RBI and two stolen bases across 280 plate appearances. He’ll be an early-round selection in fantasy drafts next spring.
New York Yankees DFS Notes
Aaron Judge launched a pair of solo homers on Thursday, leading the Yankees to a 6-2 victory over the Blue Jays. Judge kicked off the scoring by connecting on a 95 mph fastball from lefty Robbie Ray, launching a majestic 455-foot solo shot to straightaway center field in the opening frame. He completed his sixth multi-homer effort of the season by walloping another solo blast to center field — his 39th round-tripper of the season — off Ray in the sixth inning. The 29-year-old fantasy force has gone deep 10 times across 27 games since September 1. With the victory, the Yankees are in the driver’s seat for the top American League Wild Card playoff spot, holding a two-game edge over the Red Sox and Mariners entering their final series against the Rays.
