Tampa Bay Rays DFS SPIN
Kevin Kiermaier (Achilles) told reporters after Wednesday’s game that he’s optimistic he won’t be facing a lengthy absence. Kiermaier was removed from Wednesday’s game due to inflammation in his left Achilles. He indicated that it has been sore since last week, but that it felt much worse on Wednesday and caused him to be concerned. He did note that while he didn’t think he would be out for a while, he did acknowledge that “time will tell”. It sounds like if he isn’t feeling improved on Thursday, that he could be heading to the injured list.
New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Kyle Higashioka hit `a three-run homers off Shane McClanahan to propel the Rays past the Yankees 4-3 on Wednesday. Higashioka’s luck has finally started to change, as he’s hit three homers in four days after going the first two months without one. It’s doubtful that he’ll hit for average the rest of the way, but he should deliver strong enough power numbers to be of use in two-catcher mixed leagues.
