Red Sox vs. Rays MLB Prediction
The Red Sox have had next to zero success when facing their AL East counterparts, the Rays. After dropping the first two games of their series at Tropicana Field, will Boston rebound with a win in the third matchup on Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
971 Boston Red Sox (-119) at 972 Tampa Bay Rays (+110); o/u 7.5

Tropicana Field, Tampa, FL
Boston Red Sox DFS Notes
Brad Peacock was clubbed for five runs over 2 1/3 innings Tuesday in the Red Sox’ loss to the Rays. Making his first start in the majors since June of 2019, Peacock made quick work of the Rays in the first inning with a seven-pitch, 1-2-3 frame. He then served up a solo homer to Randy Arozarena in the second and was pulled in the third after letting four of five batters reach and one to score. An additional two runs were charged to Peacock after he exited. In all likelihood, this was probably Peacock’s one and only start for the Red Sox.
Tampa Bay Rays DFS Notes
Andrew Kittredge retired the only two batters he faced to record a save Tuesday versus the Red Sox. It looked like Kittredge would get a night off as the Rays started the ninth inning with Dietrich Enns on the mound and an 8-3 lead. However, Enns got into hot water in letting four straight to reach and two two score with one out. On came Kittredge, who fanned the first two guys he faced to end it. The Rays probably aren’t going to go with a set closer at any point down the stretch, but Kittredge has been great all year and is in the mix.
Red Sox vs. Rays MLB Betting Prediction
The Red Sox are now winless in their last seven games at Tropicana Field and have dropped nine of their last 10 games versus the Rays overall. They’re also just 4-14 in their last 18 road games, are 0-5 in their last five games versus American League East rivals and are 3-14 in their last 16 games versus an opponent with a winning record. On the other side, the Rays are 4-0 in their last four games versus a left-handed starter and are 21-7 in their last 28 games versus an opponent with a winning record.
