Boston Red Sox DFS SPIN
Rafael Devers homered twice and drove in five runs on Saturday afternoon, leading the Red Sox in a 14-5 shellacking of the Tigers in Motown. Devers capped off a six-run uprising in the second inning with a 356-foot (102.0 mph EV) grand slam off of Garrett Hill. He then tacked on a 395-foot (110.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Tyler Alexander in the seventh that increased the Red Sox’ edge to 9-2. Devers finished the afternoon 2-for-4 and is now slashing a stellar .343/.361/.771 with four homers and nine RBI on the season.
Detroit Tigers DFS SPIN
Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored as the Tigers were pummeled by the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon. Carpenter smacked a one-out single off of Tanner Houck in the fourth inning then eventually worked his way around to score on Spencer Torkelson’s sacrifice fly. As a team, the Tigers tallied just six hits and four walks in the ballgame, so Carpenter accounted for quite a bit of their offense. He was stationed in the cleanup spot again on Saturday and should continue to find himself in that run-producing role against right-handed pitching.
