Cincinnati Reds DFS Notes
Joey Votto clubbed home run No. 29 Wednesday as the Reds fell to the Cubs. Votto’s hardest-hit ball of the night (109.1 mph) came in the first inning on a lineout, but he came back in the fourth with a 106.8 mph drive out to left center. Unfortunately for the Reds, it was their only tally as they lost in extras. The long ball broke a 16-game homerless drought for Votto.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS Notes
Giovanny Gallegos earned his sixth save of the year on Thursday versus the Dodgers. Gallegos entered in the top of the ninth inning with the Cardinals leading 2-1 and induced an infield flyout from Cody Bellinger before striking out both Corey Seager and Chris Taylor. The 30-year-old right-hander is probably going to be the primary closer the rest of the way in St. Louis after Alex Reyes flamed out of the role.
Reds vs. Cardinals MLB Betting Prediction
The Reds are 7-3 in their last 10 games versus the Cardinals and are 4-0 in their last four games in St. Louis. The Cardinals are also 2-5 in their last seven games when opening a new series, are 2-5 in their last seven games after scoring two runs or less in their previous game and are 1-4 in their last five games as an underdog.
