Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Matt McLain went 3-for-4 with two RBI against the Cubs in Tuesday’s loss. At least by Statcast numbers, McLain has been the Reds’ only particularly good hitter over the last five weeks or so. He’ll need Corbin Carroll to self-destruct to have a realistic shot at Rookie of the Year honors, but his .305/.376/.527 line in 306 plate appearances would give him a nice case most years.
Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Dansby Swanson delivered two of the Cubs’ seven homers Tuesday in a 20-9 defeat of the Reds. Cody Bellinger, Mike Tauchman, Nico Hoerner, Patrick Wisdom and Jacob Amaya also homered, as the Cubs scored 20 runs for the second time in 20 years. They also did so last year against the Pirates, finishing with 21 on Apr. 23 against the Pirates. it’s Swanson’s ninth career multi-homer game. He’s batting .333 with five homers and 14 RBI in 10 games since coming off the IL.

Reds vs. Cubs MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Williamson allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Friday in a win over the Dodgers. The 25-year-old left-hander walked four batters to only two strikeouts. He’ll take a 4.48 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and a 48/27 K/BB across 64 1/3 innings into his start tonight against the Cubs. Pitching behind an opener, Smyly got the victory last Friday after allowing one run in 4 1/3 innings in the Cubs’ 3-2 win over the Cardinals. Smyly had posted a 9.43 ERA in his previous five outings, so he hasn’t been great. With the way the ball was flying around the yard last night, I’ll take the over tonight at Wrigley.
