Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Tyler Stephenson hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth as a pinch-hitter for Joey Votto in the Reds’ 4-3 win over the Padres on Sunday. The Reds were up 2-0 going into the eighth before consecutive homers tied the game. Stephenson made it a two-run game again in Votto’s place, and though the Padres almost mounted another comeback, it came up short. Stephenson’s bat coming alive would be big for the Reds. He also homered Friday, and his current .716 OPS is his high mark since late April.
Washington Nationals DFS SPIN
Stone Garrett led the Nationals past the Phillies with his second career grand slam on Sunday. The slam off Ranger Suárez gave the Nationals a 4-3 lead in the third. Both teams mustered one run the rest of the way, so the Nationals won 5-4. Garrett also singled today and finished the series 6-for-9 with two homers. Perhaps it’ll earn him a start or two against righties this week. In the month and a half since Corey Dickerson came off the IL, Garrett has just one start versus a righty.
