According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockies are -110 money line favorites versus the Phillies, who have odds of +100 to pull off the small upset at home. With Tyler Chatwood set to face Jeremy Hellickson in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Chatwood allowed just two runs but walked five and gave up five hits over five innings in a loss to the Twins in Thursday’s nightcap. Chatwood did well to limit the Twins’ scoring, but his 105 pitches over five innings forced his exit after five. It’s not an uncommon theme for the right-hander — he’s failed to get through the sixth inning in five of his nine starts this year. Much of that has been due to ineffectiveness, and after Thursday Chatwood owns a 5.09 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 53 innings overall. (Rotoworld)
Hellickson said Friday that he is dealing with tightness in his back but still expects to be able to make his next start. The right-hander was pulled from Friday’s game after he smashed an RBI double in the seventh inning but appeared to tweak something on a swing. It’s encouraging that he believes the injury to be minor and should be able to avoid the trip to the disabled list.
