Kansas City Royals DFS SPIN
Zack Greinke scattered two hits and struck out six in a tough 2-1 loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday. The 39-year-old veteran was effective against the Cardinals on Tuesday. He had his start pushed back a day, and the extra day of rest was just what the doctor ordered. Greinke struck out six while allowing just two hits over five innings of work. He’ll carry a 4.19 ERA on the road to face the Marlins on Tuesday.
Miami Marlins DFS SPIN
Jesús Luzardo surrendered five runs in 5 1/3 innings and struck out eight versus the Padres on Thursday. The Marlins could and likely should have gotten Luzardo out after he allowed three runs in five innings, but manager Skip Schumaker had him face Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Xander Bogaerts for a third time in the sixth. Two reached, and both came around to score after he was pulled. Those runs took Luzardo’s ERA over 4.00 for the first time this season. With any luck, he’ll bring that back down against the Royals next time out.
