Bet Today’s Rays vs. Red Sox Game
Odorizzi is coming off a strong effort in which he allowed no runs on four hits over 7.0 innings of work in a no-decision versus the White Sox. He’s now 0-1 on the year with a stellar 2.41 ERA to go along with a 2.10 FIP and a 3.18 xFIP. His BABIP is .320 so there’s nothing alarming about his batted-ball luck. His strikeout (9.64) and walk rates (1.45) are also healthy, and the same goes for his HR/9 (0.48).

Price will also be making his fourth start of the season and is coming off a two-run, six-hit effort over 7.0 solid innings versus the Blue Jays. He’s 2-0 to start the season with his new team and even though his ERA sits at 4.50, his FIP (1.62) and xFIP (2.07) paint a more realistic picture of how well he’s actually thrown to date. He’s also striking batters out at a 13.50 K/9 clip, which is fantastic.
TODAY’S PREDICTION: After these two teams combined to score 10 runs on Wednesday night, today should be a low-scoring game with Odorizzi and Price on the mound for their respective teams. The under is 5-1 in Odorizzi’s last six starts versus the Red Sox and 4-1 in his last five games in Boston. The under is has also cashed in 12 of Boston’s last 15 home games and is 3-0-2 in Odorizzi’s last five starts as well.
