Rangers up to four straight
The Rangers extended their win streak to four games on Tuesday with a 4-1 victory at Kansas City. Texas is now 31-44 overall and 16-20 on the road. The Rangers are putting up 4.33 runs per game this year while allowing 5.29 per contest.
Austin Bibens-Dirkx gets his third start of the year for the Rangers tonight. He is 0-1 through his first two starts, allowing eight earned runs over 11.0 innings. He has 11 strikeouts with 1 walk.
Royals lose eighth straight
Kansas City dropped its eighth straight game on Tuesday, scoring just one run again. The Royals have scored three runs or less in seven of the eight losses. KC is now 22-51 overall and 10-28 at home. KC is averaging just 3.64 runs per game this season while allowing 5.59 per contest.
Jakob Junis gets the start for the Royals this evening. He has started 14 games this season and has a 5-7 record with a 4.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP. Junis has pitched a total of 85.1 innings and has 79 strikeouts with 20 walks.
MLB Betting Trends
Texas
The Rangers have won four of their last five against AL Central opponents and five of their last six Wednesday games.
Kansas City
The Royals are just 5-22 in their last 27 home games against a right-handed starters and they are 6-21 in their last 27 against AL West opponents.
Prediction:
The Royals haven’t had much good going for them for a week now, but I think they can get this game tonight. Bibens-Dirkx has struggled in his two starts this year, giving up four earned runs in each outing. Junis actually has been pretty competitive on the mound and I think he can overcome his poor hitting today. Look for KC to get some early runs while Junis shuts down the Rangers.
The Pick: Kansas City Royals -115
