Can Rays even things up with Jays?
The Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays wrap up a four-game series this afternoon. Which team will get the last laugh for now?
Toronto is putting J.A. Happ on the mound today to face Matt Moore of the Rays. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Toronto is the road favorite in this game, as the Blue Jays are getting odds of -125 to win, while the Rays have a money line of +115 at home. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 8 runs.
Toronto has won two of the three meetings in this series thus far, with their two wins coming by a 5-3 margin. Tampa Bay finally got on the board yesterday with a 3-2 home victory, but scoring three runs every game won’t lead to a lot of wins for the Rays. These two are 1-1-1 with the over/under total thus far.

As I mentioned, Tampa’s run scoring hasn’t been great. They have just three runs in each of the first three games. If that is going to change, it will probably change today, as the Jays are just 3-8 in Happ’s last 11starts and 0-5 in his last 5 road starts. Tampa is 16-7 in Moore’s last 23 starts against a winning team and 11-5 in his last 16 home starts against a winning team. Look for Tampa to find a way to finish this series with a split.
