Minnesota Twins DFS SPIN
Sonny Gray struck out nine batters while allowing one run over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Friday. Gray was pulled at 94 pitches after striking out Dansby Swanson to begin the sixth inning. He left in position for the win, but the Twins’ bullpen ultimately led the Cubs pull ahead. Gray gave up just four hits and walked one on the night and holds an MLB-best 1.39 ERA through eight starts. He has proven to be late-round gold in mixed fantasy leagues this season.
Los Angeles Dodgers DFS SPIN
Dustin May yielded two runs in 6 2/3 innings Friday in a no-decision against the Padres. May allowed 10 hard-hit balls tonight, but since most of the contact was on the ground, he proved quite effective anyway. Somewhat disappointing was that he got just five missed swings, one on each of his five pitches. He wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 4-1 with a 2.68 ERA. He’s in line for a home outing on Wednesday against the Twins his next time out.
