The last time the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles met, bad weather not only complicated the entire series, but prevented them from finishing it.
The White Sox and the Orioles hope for better conditions Monday, when they are scheduled to resume a suspended contest before opening a three-game set at Camden Yards.

When Chicago (74-55) and Baltimore (61-68) kicked off a four-game series at U.S. Cellular Field on April 25, the opener was rained out in the bottom of the first inning, forcing the teams to play a doubleheader the next day.
The series was expected to conclude April 28, but rain delayed the start of the game and similar conditions during the day ultimately resulted in officials suspending the contest with the score tied 3-3 after 11 innings.
The weather figures to cooperate on Monday – the forecast is partly sunny with a 30-percent chance of rain – in the continuation of that game.
Baltimore’s George Sherrill and Chicago’s Scott Linebrink were on the mound when the game was suspended, but both are currently on the disabled list.
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said either D.J. Carrasco or Matt Thornton would pitch Monday, but the Orioles have yet to name a pitcher for the suspended game.
Chicago kicks off a nine-game road trip after completing of a 4-2 homestand with a 6-5, 10-inning win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Alexei Ramirez had the winning RBI single as the White Sox avoided a three-game sweep.
Jim Thome hit his 534th homer to tie Jimmie Foxx for 15th place on the all-time list, and Carlos Quentin hit his league-leading 36th homer for Chicago, which has won nine of 12.
Sunday’s victory, coupled with Minnesota’s defeat in Los Angeles, gave the White Sox a half-game lead over the Twins in the AL Central.
"All of these wins at this time of the year seem to really get magnified, so hopefully, that can kind of spur us on," first baseman Paul Konerko told the White Sox’s official Web site.
Chicago hands the ball to rookie Clayton Richard (1-2, 6.75 ERA) for the opener of its regularly scheduled series versus Baltimore.
The left-hander got his first win of the season after scattering five hits and walking one in six innings of a 5-0 home victory over Seattle on Tuesday. It was his fourth major league start and first since Aug. 3 at Kansas City.
Richard takes the mound for the first time against the Orioles, who dropped to 1-5 on their nine-game homestand after enduring a three-game sweep by the New York Yankees.
Brian Roberts, Melvin Mora and Aubrey Huff each homered Sunday, but the Orioles stranded 13 and went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position in an 8-7 loss to the Yankees.
"I wish I would have had about 15 more minutes to sit out there with my team instead of come out here as quickly as I did," frustrated Orioles manager Dave Trembley said. "That’s how tough it is for me to process."
Trembley’s club dropped a season-high seven games under .500, but aims to turn things around behind rookie Chris Waters (2-0, 4.98).
The left-hander secured his first win at Camden Yards on Wednesday, holding Boston to four earned runs in five innings of an 11-6 victory.
Waters will oppose the White Sox for the first time, hoping to contain Quentin, who has gone 10-for-18 (.556) with three homers and five RBIs in six games versus the Orioles this season
