Leury Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Giants on Friday. Neither team could muster much offensively on Friday as the game went into the ninth without a run scored. After Gavin Sheets reached on an error, a single by AJ Pollock put a runner in scoring position. Garcia followed with a base hit to drive in what would be the game-winning run. The 31-year-old infielder is hitting .200/.226/.265 with a pair of homers and a stolen base across 196 plate appearances.

Logan Webb gave up an unearned run over six innings in Saturday’s win over the Reds. He also gave up two hits, walked two, and struck out six. Mike Moustakas scored on a single in the top of the second, but because of a fielding error by Evan Longoria, the run was unearned. The 25-year-old right-hander has given up just one earned run over his last three starts (20 innings). A Saturday afternoon home matchup versus the White Sox awaits.
