Chicago White Sox DFS SPIN
X-rays came back negative on Eloy Jiménez’s left elbow. Jiménez was struck Tuesday night by a Félix Bautista fastball clocked at 102.3 mph, but it mostly connected with his padded elbow guard. He’s considered day-to-day with a bruise and might be available for the middle game of the three-game set in Baltimore on Wednesday night.
Baltimore Orioles DFS SPIN
Austin Voth labored but managed to hold the White Sox to two runs over 5 2/3 innings Tuesday in the Orioles’ 5-3 win. The White Sox jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning on a Eloy Jimenez two-run shot. That’s all they were able to tally off of Voth, though, even as the right-hander permitted seven hits and walked three. The final line wasn’t pretty from a WHIP perspective, but Voth still hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any of his 11 starts for the Orioles. He’ll face a talk task in keeping that streak going this weekend in Houston.
