Chicago White Sox DFS SPIN
White Sox placed OF Andrew Vaughn on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 2, with a bruised right hand. Vaughn suffered the injury last week when he got hit by a pitch and wasn’t making enough progress on the side. The hope is that he will be ready to rock when he first becomes eligible for activation on May 12, which is next Thursday. The 24-year-old leaves behind a sparkling .283/.367/.566 batting line with four home runs and 12 RBI through 16 games played. Danny Mendick is up in a corresponding move.
Boston Red Sox DFS Spin
Trevor Story struck out all four times he was up Thursday against the Angels. Shohei Ohtani was incredible today, so Story’s bad game was understandable. Still, he’s having a brutal season to date, having hit just .210/.293/.296 in 92 plate appearances. He’s struck out 29 times, and he still hasn’t hit a home run. He should eventually get it together and make a contribution, but he’ll likely rate as a 2022 fantasy disappointment based on where he was drafted.
