Matt Kemp helped the Braves beat the Mets 3-1 last night when his third double of the night plated two runs in the top of the 12th inning. It’s just the second time in Kemp’s career that he’s collected three doubles, with the previous moment coming all the way back on September 22, 2011. Bartolo Colon also pitched well against his former team, holding them to one run over six innings in a no-decision.
Jacob deGrom was brilliant for the Mets last night, blanking the Braes for six innings while striking out six. He left the game with the Mets leading 1-0 but Hector Robles blew the lead in the seventh. Jay Bruce also went 3-for-5 with a home run and a double in the loss.
Bet Tonight’s Braves vs. Mets Game
OUR PICK: The Braves are 7-1 in their last eight games in New York dating back to last season and are now 4-1 in their last five games versus the Mets overall. The Mets are 1-4 in Harvey’s last five starts against the Braves, so this is a good opportunity to jump on the underdog and get plus points in what could be another upset for Atlanta.
