ROCKIES KEY TRENDS: The Rockies are 11-4 in Chatwood’s last 15 road starts but are just 3-7 in his last 10 starts overall. The Rockies are also 9-20 in their last 29 road games, are 0-6 in their last six games when playing the third game of a series, and are 0-4 in Chatwood’s last four outings when he pitches coming off four days of rest.
GIANTS KEY TRENDS: The Giants are 5-1 in Moore’s last six home starts but are 2-5 in his last seven outings when their opponent allows five runs or more in their previous game. They’re also 8-3 in their last 11 home games but have dropped 27 of their last 38 games coming off a win.
Bet Today’s Rockies vs. Giants Game
OUR PICK: Chatwood is off to a rough start. After two outings this season, he finds his ERA sitting at 6.35. The home run has been the biggest problem, as he’s allowed two in each of his first two outings. Moore, meanwhile, allowed a single run on just three hits while striking out five batters during Monday’s win over the Diamondbacks. He cruised, throwing just 93 pitches (62 for strikes) through eight innings of work. Moore’s control hasn’t been a problem thus far and if he’s in the strike zone again today against a Colorado offense that is still in a funk, then the Giants should pick up another home victory.
