Giovanni Urshela contributed two doubles and two RBIs. Eriz Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Lonnie Chisenhall added a hit, two runs and a walk. Buck Farmer surrendered five earned runs on three hits with three strikeouts and three walks over three innings to take the loss. Andrew Romine paced the Tigers offense with a pair of doubles.
Somehow, Zimmermann made it through Colorado without getting completely obliterated. The wind will be blowing in slightly from left field in Saturday’s game, but it won’t be enough to keep him from getting torched again. As for Kluber, the Tigers actually won the last time they faced back in early July. It won’t happen, but even if the Tigers can get to him for a couple runs Zimmermann should be able to do the rest of the work to make the total go over.
