Andrew Cashner (7-9, 3.31 ERA) draws the start for Texas and he will oppose the Angels’ Andrew Heaney (0-0, 9.00). The Rangers are 5-5 in his last 10 starts. Cashner has a 1.35 WHIP on the season plus a 4.34 ERA in 10 road starts. Heaney made his first start August 18 since the second game of the 2016 season, working his way back from Tommy John Surgery. He gave up five earned runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out five and not walking a batter. He surrendered four home runs.

Texas enters with a 62-63 record and is 27-34 on the road, while Los Angeles is 65-61 and 34-27 at home. The four-game series is even at a game apiece, with the Rangers taking the opener 5-3 and the Angers winning 10-1 on Tuesday. Texas has won six of the last 10 meetings, while the over-under is 4-5-1 in those games.

Los Angeles jumped all over Texas on Tuesday, highlighted by Albert Pujols hitting his 610th career home run to put him first all-time among foreign-born players. Pujols also doubled and totaled four RBIs. Mike Trout was 2-for-5 with three runs, while Kaleb Cowart went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs.
