Mariners vs. Twins Pick
Are Seattle Mariners and the Minnesota Twins likely to have another 10-run game when the two meet up today at 1:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Twins are favored in today’s game, as they are getting odds of -110 to win, while the Mariners are getting a money line of +100 to prevail. The over/under total for the game is set at 9.5 runs.

Today’s pitching matchup has Ariel Miranda (6-2, 3.67 ERA) on the mound for Seattle to face Jose Berrios (5-1, 2.84) of the Twins. Berrios has made six starts this year, allowing 12 earned runs over 38 innings. He has 39 strikeouts with 13 walks and a 1.00 WHIP. Miranda is on a nice run right now, as he has not allowed more than two runs in his last six starts. He has 63 strikeouts with 29 walks this season and a 1.17 WHIP.
These two have been putting up a lot of runs. They have combined for at least 10 runs in all three games of this series and have put up a total of 54 between them this week. Seattle is 33-34 overall, 13-21 on the road and 33-32 with the under. Minnesota is 33-29 overall, 13-20 at home and 29-28 with the over.
Wednesday’s game saw Seattle pick up a 6-4 win over Minnesota. The two teams combined for 20 hits on their 10 runs. Both starters didn’t get past the sixth as Ervin Santana allowed five runs on nine hits in five innings and Sam Gaviglio went 5.1 innings and allowed four earned runs. Mike Zunino drove in three runs to lead Seattle while Miguel Sano had two hits and two RBI, including his 16th home run of the season.
The runs have been piling up quickly for these two teams this week, but I think things slow down today. Both pitchers starting have allowed few baserunners. Miranda has been a consistently strong force for the Mariners while Berrios has given Minnesota a chance in every game. I don’t think either team will have their best lineups playing on a travel day either, so look for the run total to dip.
