deGrom held the Braves scoreless over six innings on Wednesday. He struck out six while allowing just two hits and a walk, but he didn’t receive a decision in an eventual 12-inning loss for the Mets. The righty is off to a solid start after posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and an 8.7 K/9 ratio a year ago.
Eickhoff was the hard-luck loser on Wednesday when he allowed just two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over 6 2/3 innings against the Reds. Joey Votto took him deep in the bottom of the seventh but that was one of the few mistakes that Eickhoff made in the game.
