Twins vs. Angels Pick
Will the Los Angeles Angels be able to get past the Minnesota Twins and their ace when the two meetup tonight at 10:07PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Angels are the favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Twins are listed with a money line of -105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game is listed at 7.5 runs.

The pitching matchup for tonight has Ervin Santana (7-2, 1.75 ERA) on the mound for the Twins to face Matt Shoemaker (4-3, 4.26) of the Angels. Santana has been dominant most of the season for the Twins. He has allowed 11 earned runs in two poor starts and just a total of 4 in the other 9 starts combined. He has 56 strikeouts with 26 walks and a WHIP of 0.84 this season. Shoemaker is coming off a shaky outing, allowing 4 runs in 4.2 innings. He has given up 31 runs in 61.1 innings and has 58 strikeouts with a WHIP of 1.27.
The Twins have taken the first two games in this series, picking up a 4-2 win on Thursday and an 11-5 win on Friday night. Minnesota is now 28-23 overall and 16-5 on the road. Los Angeles is 28-30 overall and 17-11 at home.
Minnesota hammered JC Ramirez on Friday, putting up 7 runs and 8 hits in 4.1 innings against the L.A. starter. The Twins had three home runs, including one from Joe Mauer. Mauer had four hits and three RBI to lead Minnesota in the victory. Kyle Gibson lasted 5.2 innings and allowed just two runs to get his second win of the season.
Minnesota has been a pretty good road team this season and hasn’t had any trouble with the trip West yet. Santana has been their most reliable pitcher and he is facing a depleted lineup that is without Mike Trout. I think all signs are pointing to another Minnesota win, as the Twins should be able to get to Shoemaker, especially if Santana is locked in.
