Under cashing when Mets face Royals
Game 1 of the World Series will take place tonight in Kansas City where the Royals host the Mets at 8:00PM ET.
If tonight’s game plays out like previous meetings between these two clubs, then baseball fans will be in store for a low-scoring game. That’s because the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams.
With Matt Harvey set to face Edinson Volquez in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 7 runs according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The under is 4-1 in Volquez’s last five starts and 7-1 in his last eight home starts versus a team with a winning record.
Of course, to complicate things, the over has been cashing in Harvey’s most recent starts. The combined score has gone over the total in all five of Harvey’s last five road starts and is 7-1-1 in his last nine starts overall. The over is also 8-3 in the Mets’ last 11 interleague games.
