Yankees vs. Cardinals Prediction
The Yankees are slight underdogs on Friday night in St. Louis where they’ll open a new series against the Cardinals at 8:15 p.m. ET. Given how poorly the Cardinals have played all season, are the Yankees a smart moneyline play tonight?

New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Harrison Bader had three hits, a walk and two runs scored Thursday as the Yankees topped the A’s 10-4. Bader’s exit velocity numbers remain quite unimpressive, but he’s helped make up for it by striking out in just 12.2% of his plate appearances. His career rate is 25.7%, though he did squeeze under 20% at 19.8% last year. He’s currently batting .268/.295/.480.
St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Nolan Gorman went hitless in three at-bats Thursday against the Astros. It’s a good thing Gorman had that big April because he’s been awful for five weeks now, hitting .125 with two homers and 35 strikeouts in 96 plate appearances since May 26. The Cardinals keep starting him against every righty anyway, but they might be better off playing Dylan Carlson over him, with Tommy Edman seeing more time in the infield.

Yankees vs. Cardinals MLB BETTING PREDICTION
While the Yankees are just 1-4 in their last five games at Busch Stadium, I’m not going to back this crap St. Louis team. They’ve dropped 10 out of their last 12 games versus an opponent with a winning record, are 1-6 in their last seven home games versus a right-handed starter and are 2-8 in their last 10 home games. The Cardinals are also just 3-11 in their last 14 games following a loss, are 3-8 in their last 11 interleague home games and are 7-20 in their last 27 games during Game 1 of a series.
