New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Jose Trevino went 1-for-4 and drove in both of the Yankees’ runs in Sunday night’s extra-inning loss to the Red Sox. Trevino smacked a two-run single off of Brayan Bello in the second inning that gave the Yankees an early 2-0 lead — but that would wind up being the extent of their scoring on the evening. The 30-year-old backstop has struggled mightily at the dish this season — slashing a woeful .214/.258/.308 with three homers and 13 RBI in 38 games.
New York Mets DFS SPIN
Mets signed 1B Luke Voit to a minor league contract. Voit gives the Mets some additional first base depth with All-Star Pete Alonso likely to miss at least the next 3-4 weeks with a left wrist injury. The 32-year-old slugger got into 22 games earlier this season with the Brewers, batting .221 (15-for-68) with zero homers and four RBI, before being released earlier this month. There’s a chance he gets some at-bats in New York over the next few weeks, but is unlikely to make a serious impact for fantasy managers.
