Aaron Judge went 1-for-5 with a solo homer Monday as the Yankees beat the Rays in Game 1 of the ALDS. Judge had been 1-for-18 lifetime against Rays starter Blake Snell before taking the left-hander deep on a laser shot to left in the top of the fifth inning. His last four postseason home runs have come against Cy Young Award winners, if you’ll allow us to pencil in Shane Bieber for the 2020 honor in the American League. David Price and Justin Verlander are the others beyond Bieber and now Snell. Judge is up to 10 career postseason homers in 30 career postseason games. As a club, the Yankees have combined for 11 home runs just three games into these 2020 playoffs, the most home runs by any team in MLB history through three playoff games.

Randy Arozarena finished 3-for-4 with a homer in the Rays’ ALDS Game 1 loss to the Yankees on Monday. Arozarena was a headache for Yankees starter Gerrit Cole, hitting a 107.3 mph solo homer off him in the bottom of the first inning, a 102.6 mph single off him in the bottom of the fourth, and 103.3 mph single off him in the bottom of the fifth. The 25-year-old outfielder produced a .1022 OPS with seven home runs over 23 games (76 plate appearances) during the regular season and is emerging as a dangerous present and long-term fixture for the heart of the Rays’ lineup. He has batted either second or third so far this postseason.

Yankees vs. Rays Game 2 Betting Prediction

The Yankees are now 4-0 in their last four Divisional Playoff Games, are 4-1 in their last five games overall and have won 11 of their last 14 games following a victory in their previous game. They’re also 10-4 in their last 14 games versus a right-handed starter, are 77-37 in their last 114 matchups with AL East rivals and are 9-3 in their last 12 games when their opponent allows five runs or more in their previous game. The Rays, meanwhile, are 3-7 in their last 10 playoff games as a favorite and have dropped 10 of their last 13 Divisional round playoff games following their loss in Game 1.
