New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Josh Donaldson went 2-for-4 and hit his sixth career grand slam Thursday as the Yankees edged the Red Sox 6-5. Donaldson hit the slam off Josh Winckowski in the third, and Aaron Hicks made it back-to-back homers afterwards. The homer was Donaldson’s second in two days and eighth of the year. He’s back up to .231/.316/.402 for the year, and Statcast thinks he should be doing quite a bit better than that.
Boston Red Sox DFS SPIN
Rafael Devers homered twice off Gerrit Cole to drive in five runs against the Yankees on Thursday. Devers has six homers against Cole in his career, which is two more than anyone else has managed since the right-hander entered the league. Devers ranks third in the majors with a .330 average this year and fourth with a .985 OPS.
