PHOENIX (AP) -Arizona starter Micah Owings hurt a leg running the bases and was removed from the Diamondbacks’ game against the Los Angles Dodgers in the fourth inning Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old rookie was on first base after lining his first big league, a drive to center off Brett Tomko. When Alberto Callaspo singled to right, Owings limped into third base and was removed for pinch-runner Robby Hammock.
Owings allowed three runs and four hits in four innings. He walked two and struck out three.
